Product Photography Tips: Shooting Tethered

In this video, I talk about shooting tethered, a tool that I consider essential to any product photographer. Shooting tethered means connecting your camera to a computer as you shoot. This way, you can use your computer screen to preview images as they are taken.

Shooting tethered is one of the best tips I can give to studio photographers. Some of the advantages of shooting tethered include:
* Adjust your composition more easily
* Judge exposure and detect lighting tweaks that need to be made
* Spot imperfections such as fingerprints on products and dusty surfaces that should be cleaned.
* The most useful feature of shooting tethered is using live view. Which gives you a live view of your camera point of view on your computer. This can be incredibly helpful while you are adjusting lighting and creating your set.
