I love buying gold costume jewellery because I love to wear them, but I also use them as props for my lifestyle photoshoots! They’re great as props for photo flatlays, especially when working with lots of clients whose customers are female. They add a touch of luxe to any photo. In this photography video, I show you how I style and photograph luxury gold jewellery (at affordable prices) by Ana Luisa. I spent $0 on props using things I already have at home, and found my background setting (bark and branches) from my morning walk with my little dog! When looking for product photography props, I look for colour, texture, and things which allow me to create height in any styled setting. This allows me to use a creative eye when I see any object. I stop looking at objects as normal “things”, and look at them for the colour, texture and shape that they have.
