During a trip to Bealey Spur hut in the Arthur’s Pass region, I captured this unexpected image at mid-day just before a storm hit. It was a lesson in being ready for the unexpected. Even though I effectively only took one shot when we stopped on the ridge heading up to the hut, it was the best shot of a 3 day trip.
