How I photograph Cabochons for sales. Finding good light and what to use in the picture.

It took me FOREVER to figure out how to get some decent shots of my stones. So, I thought I’d share some strategies that I found work. Plain white paper and or white backgrounds help the stones natural color pop.
I also do not use any form of filter and or color enhancer. For one, it’s pretty crappy when you buy a stone that you think was a different color (hence, I’ve been on the receiving end of someone taking pictures and changing the color). So, to keep that from happening, I just don’t color enhance my pictures at all. I do use some lighting enhancement in the editing section, especially if a stone came out super dark.
Hope this helped someone!
