The first and main reason I like taking photos of strangers within my street photography is because of how diverse and interesting everyone is. You can never take the same photo of the same person on the same street, every person is unique and everyone has a different story to tell. Taking portraits of people in the street is always a go to style of photography I like to remember when I’m out in the city shooting photos.

There are 2 main ways of using people in your street photography:
The first and more awkward method is by asking people directly for their photograph. In this video I explain how to approach people in a friendly manor to get the picture if you find this kind of thing pretty strange, hopefully this video can help.

The 2nd ways of using people within your street photography is by letting them walk into your composition. Find a frame you like, it could be light and shadow, it could be architecture and let a stranger walk through into your photo. This method is way less intrusive and much more casual, I use this style almost every time I go on a street photography mission.
