I cannot believe I packed so much good information into this tutorial covering tips for boudoir photography.

All of the tips covered!
Sheers – Place sheers on the windows to get softer light
Light a candle so it smells nice in the studio

Greenery in the Studio – Adding plants can make for great foreground and background objects.

Welcome sign – Have a welcome sign to make clients feel special.

Have scissors to cut off clothing tags

Have sample albums out for when they walk in so they can flip through during hair so they can start getting excited about getting their own.

Double-sided tape – Keep outfits and robes from opening up, can keep necklaces in place

Music – Ask your clients what music they like.

Leading lines – Using leading lines can add interest to your photo, give it direction.

In direct light – Point their nose toward the sun

Using foreground elements, like plants, to add more interest to the photo.

Mess up the bed – To make photos in the bedroom look more natural and personal, mess up the sheets.

Mirrors: Use mirrors to add depth and interest to your photos

Messy hair – Straight clean perfect hair doesn’t make as much sense for boudoir. We want that sexy bedhead look.

Step Stool – Have a latter to shoot from high above: in order to shoot from different angles, you can stand on some furniture, or get a step ladder to add an angle you didn’t have before.

To make a photo look sexier, without it being any more revealing, play with having her straps fall off her shoulders.

Don’t shoot in just lingerie – Things like sweaters, button-up shirts, tank tops, can add variety, playfulness, or a more natural look to your pictures.

WIth boudoir not everyone wants you to share their pictures online, but most are okay as long as their faces aren’t recognizable. Make sure to take anonymous shots because clients might not want their faces shown, that way you can still share pictures from the shoot.

Editing Tip: Face brighten with radial filter darken edges
